Some Truth...

Kris Vallotton from KVministries.com wrote this and it is exactly what I have thought about sex and marriage but could never word it properly... I have heard people say that you should not get married just for sex. That's sounds holy but it's simply not true!. In 1Cor 7:9 the Apostle Paul said that it is better to marry than to "burn with passion ." The Message Bible calls "burning with passion" being "sexually tortured." If you ask a engaged couple why they are getting married and they answer, "because we want to have sex," you would probably be shocked, but their answer would be Biblically sound. In fact Paul tells married couples not to deprive each other of sex least satan tempt them (see 1Cor 7:5). Sex in marriage is spiritual warfare! Paul said it is the DUTY of husbands and wives to have a sex with each other. Odd post you say; well I think Christians need to start teaching people the truth about sex. We are losing our young people to immorality at an alarming rate. People are delaying marriage because our culture tells them it's okay to have premarital sex. But the Bible is clear; sex is for marriage and marriage is for sex. The world perverts sex, religion shames it but the Kingdom celebrates it! Please don't write me and tell me that there needs to be more going on between two people than wanting to have sex! We all know that. I understand that there is a book worth of stuff that needs to be said about this subject. This post is not the last word on sex and marriage. But it is ONE truth that Christians seem to be ashamed to admit and in my opinion it's killing our young people.
